    Gameday Threads & FFC Chat

We have the chat up for most games each round, and it's a resource we all enjoy.

It has however probably taken away from some of the good posting we've come to see on both the DT & SC boards, not to mention for those who miss it alot of info and discussion goes missing.

So each round we'll endeavour to create gameday threads, one per match, in which discussion can occur in to.
The specifics for posting in these are standard, talk about what's unfolding in terms of role, injuries, a players score, or just about anything relating to that game!
(aside from the one word posts that I'm sure can still be saved for chat)

We encourage all our users to use both, as we all like talking about or own sides and chatting about the footy, so feel free to use both resources. Hopefully these threads can generate a bit of discussion when chat dies down/is turned off so we have more to talk about during the week. The Carlton V St Kilda thread was a good example of this.

Thanks for all your help guys,

    Tom

    Great work Tom.

I really feel its important for new members to make sure that they are posting as much as possible - these threads are great to have and discuss for each game - everyone gets alot out of them.

As much as we all enjoy the chat which is a great feature for the forum its also important to keep contributing as that is one of the values we have here at FFC.

Alot of us watch alot of football and some of us don't so thats why its important we all come together as one - yes we are all competitive and want to win and beat each other but also to enjoy your fantasy footy and give each other abit of tongue aswell which is great every now and then. (hope that doesn't sound bad - its okay I am married anyway).

I look forward to seeing these "game day threads" being a success for everyone here at FFC.

So much good discussion on the chat but your 100% right, a lot of the detail is lost for those not present right there and then.

    Great initiative guys!

Just had a flick through the StK v Carl thread and saw some great comments.

It'll be a valuable resource for anyone unable to see a particular game.

Heh, I won't have to put up scrolling through all of the Fyfe smilies this way.

Good iniative. I think chat can still be just as strong even with these threads.

Re: Gameday Threads & FFC Chat

Yeah we can have both of course, the key is that in the long run the threads are better as we can't all see everygame but we can come here and discuss it after they've been played. Plenty of stuff is more adept to chat though which is why it's important to leave it up too.

Exactly B4E that game day thread is really important so thats why its great to get peoples opinions on every game if they are able to watch those games of course.

Not everyone has pay tv - Fox etc so its great if someone takes note and adds them into the appropriate game day thread and others can benefit from it aswell.

But it shouldn't be left to a few members I think all the members in FFC need to contribute where they can thats the most important thing IMO.
