    Re: Round 3 Trades

Apparently Mundy's family was sick last week. He might have been off. I still think he has to go.

    Re: Round 3 Trades

Worst case on Mundy is he bounces back over the next few weeks and makes for an ideal upgrade target if you trade him. Best case you dodge a massive fail if he doesn't. If you hold, best case he bounces back and everyone jumps on anyway so you just get the stinkers and worst case you cop the fail.

For me that's a strong "trade" situation.

Heeney is a bit more touch and go because his failure wasn't as terrible.

Really only Witherden, same boat as Heeney in DT at least, that I can think of that have done enough wrong to be traded as premiums right now that I've seen selected.

I also have Zorko but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one with Zorko... I say it every year but just once it will stick in, if I'd followed my "no dodgy preseasons" rule I'd have avoided both Heeney and Zorko

    Re: Round 3 Trades

So listened to the Horse interview where he mentions Heeney...

He wont do anything training wise at the start of the week and the quote was "We hope he'll train later in the week and put his hand up to play". He's playing forward more because of the ankle. They're hoping it will begin to improve in a couple of weeks and will be managing him through to that point.

Essentially, all bad news and probably pushing me towards the trade option personally.

They would have been better to say he would be unavailable for the first few weeks of the season, let him actually do full rehab, then bring him back in when fully fit.

Sam Jacobs won't get up in time for this week's match with O'Brien to come in.

“Sauce has some long-standing issues in his knee that were exacerbated by a collision injury he sustained against Sydney on the weekend,” Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass told AFC Media on Tuesday.

“We have to respect that he’s an older player and there is some wear and tear in there.

“Unfortunately, this week he hasn’t quite done enough to get up to play against the Cats.

“We’ll have to reassess mid-week to make sure we’re comfortable with how that’s tracking before we provide any clearer time frames on his return.”
Possibility that he misses longer but Adelaide might not let that known any time soon.

    Welp, that settles it.
    He's gone.

This post was more than likely SC based.
If in doubt, assume it was.

Haven't seen it confirmed yet but there is an article on the AFL site today about rising star chances which claims that Bailey Scott had gastro last week, which might explain his poorer game.

Yeah it was on Twitter somewhere too.

Merrett for my DT, then Scott the next week, super annoying.

Throw in Gawn as well last week.

And I still reckon that Grundy had something round 1 as well given the way he moved and his total lack of secondary efforts.

Think he's a pretty good option so far, depends who you're giving up to get him though.

That's the problem, I have no problems in my midfield! Would be the luxuriest of luxury trades

I somehow missed this one yesterday, that's not promising at all. If Sydney see no improvement after a couple of weeks then they're every chance to rest him. Yet if he's over it within 2 weeks then he should bounce back.

Having him and Dunkley are doing my head in. I think long term, Heeney is a better chance of being a premium (Dunkley is probably requiring a midfielder to go out to get him extra minutes) however Heeney could be shit for a while yet and frustrations will just grow if I stick with him.

The option to trade both is there however I had the prospect of moving two premium forwards after 2 rounds. At this stage I'm maybe slightly leaning towards moving Heeney ahead of Dunkley in DT.

Some rumours around that Heeney will actually be rested this week, which might be a benefit for those holding him.
