    Round 20-23 Trades

Figured the one thread for the final 4 rounds of trading will do it given we've probably got a few trades at most now.

Get a bad feeling I'm going to be using one to offload Franklin in the coming weeks and I haven't had any good times yet...

    Re: Round 20-23 Trades

Pending teams I am very tempted in SC to go Coniglio (510K) > Macrae (549K).

Macrae averaging almost 125 for the season, Cogs 105.

    @Athomas & other looping masters,

Is there enough time between Port's game & North's game to loop Ahern & Rocky?

With no Higgins I can see Ahern going big again, so impressive last weekend v WCE.

Port's game starts at 2.35pm Sat, North at 12.10pm - very tight I suspect.

The Port game will start about 1/2 way through the final quarter of the North game (12:10pm games usually finish around 2:40-2:50pm) so you won't know his final score but you should have a clear indication of whether it's good/bad/okay.

    Re: Round 20-23 Trades

SC finals are starting so time to move on Sicily for Lloyd. Im also looking at the Cogs to Macrae trade, but it might be better to go Luke Ryan up to Gov or someone else around that 95 average. Outside a 140, Ryan has been terrible the last 6 weeks.

    Another potential cow ruined

Great to hear he's got his body right long enough to play though

Chances of him getting through a full preseason, preseason games and being right for an 8-10 week block would be very low. Additionally, Freeman is out of contract at the end of the year, so StKilda have to play him to give themselves an idea of whether or not to keep him on the list.

    Re: Round 20-23 Trades

Looks like I will need to trade after all.
Have Savage (would be good if they confirm he's done for the season though) with Mihochek/Smith cover & 3 trades. Could argue it's better to play Mihochek/Smith, but can't loop them this week & have good depth across other lines anyway.

Have Lloyd, Yeo, Laird, Simpson, Brayshaw, so think McDonald is the next obvious pick, with Thompson/May out this week especially.

Tim Taranto (knee), Dylan Shiel (ankle) and Sam Reid (knee) go out of the team with injury and will be assessed across the next week to determine their availability for round 21.
Don't think it's serious but no certainty for next week.

    Re: Round 20-23 Trades

From Presser today with Leon Cameron

On selection: Reid probably shouldn’t have played the St Kilda game. Taranto’s been battling a bit and should be a week. Shiel’s ankle flared up but it should only be a week or maybe two

    Re: Round 20-23 Trades

Taranto's a good example of why I should probably sit on my remaining three trades and do nothing unless absolutely necessary. It looked like Taranto had hit the wall about five weeks ago, so shifted him to Robbo. Since then Taranto's averaged probably close to 100, whereas Robbo's around the mid 70 mark. So burnt a trade and cost myself 100-150 odd points.

    http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-08-0...e-for-the-year

ST KILDA has ruled out rebounding backman Shane Savage for the rest of the year after suffering a torn hamstring, while injury-prone forward Paddy McCartin's season is almost certainly done as well.
