If that is the case, I'd be concerned he won't be able to maintain the scoring, particularly through the depths of winter. I do like the idea of going for the POD picks and when I plug him into my trade plans (instead of TMcDonald), it essentially saves me a trade in completing my team.
He gets alot of points from 1%'ers being spoils.
Set an AFL record (23) against Swans couple of weeks ago, he rarely marks the ball in a contest, but has being getting involved in the switching play to boost his possessions.

As maligned as the SC scoring has been this year, you gotta love a system that brings the traditional full back into the game.

His stats actually make for interesting reading. Comparing things to last year:

Disposals up to 16.3 from 13
Marks down to 6.0 from 6.3
Contested Marks down to 1.2 from 1.5
Tackles up to 1.9 from 1.0 (was 2.2 the previous year though)
    Rebound 50s up to 3.1 from 2.3
1%ers up to 11.9 from 7.8 (9.3 the previous year)
Intercepts up to 7.2 from 5.7
Metres gained up to 198 from 168
Score Involvements up to 2.5 from 2.1

So he is getting more possessions per game and is getting more metres gained and R50s with those possessions, so that tells me the team wants the ball in his hands more. Also more score involvements which would make sense if he is initiating rebounds. His contested marks are down so I dont think he is reliant on those contested intercepts as you mentioned. Looks like a big part of the scoring bump has come from increased 1%ers and intercept possessions, which you can probably attribute to his development as a key back (more spoils etc) and also the inclusion of Hodge and the way he marshals a back line.

Some rumours going around that Angus Brayshaw might be in some doubt this weekend with a calf issue. Given that it's a Monday game, not sure if we get the teams tonight or have to wait until tomorrow.

Also some doubt on Lachie Neale who has a corkie in his calf.

So have we heard anything on the expected timeframes for Dusty & Laird?

Not that I'd trust Adelaide at this point

Yeah and its not a one off thing, has a career DE of 83% across his four seasons. Im honestly pretty tempted, I think he should be okay in the wet as you would expect worse F50 entries which allows for more spoils and intercepts.

    Re: Round 12 Trades

With Crowden missing the cut, I'm down to 14 in SC before trades, so officially copping a zero bar Crowden being a late in.

Looking at it now, im liking trading Dusty to Mitch Duncan. Another guy who has gone completely under the radar, averaged 110 last year and is averaging 109 this year. 5 round average of 118 and is good value still at 560.
Hmmmm - that really works for me too. Too many bloody choices! And we have to make a call tonight with Dusty.

I wonder whether Jacobs goes to Duncan rather than Jelwood.

    Re: Round 12 Trades

I have about 50 trade scenarios im working through and I have no idea which one i'll go with. Likely just whatever the most recent one was when lockout hits

Im at a point now when im considering passing on Austin and getting Mihocek instead. I dont like the job security of either, and with Cole being on my bench for coverage the extra 50k Mihocek provides is pretty useful. Thats the difference between trading out Tim Smith instead of Spargo.

The threat of Jacobs on Duncan is something ive thought about too, its definitely a possibility. Scott has tended to tag the obvious guys though, so im kinda banking on that.

    Re: Round 12 Trades

Jelwood goes to water with a hard tag and he was close to BOG last week. Hopefully that seals it.

    Hopefully it doesn't

But yeah he's right in that Sloane/Zorko basket of not being able to handle tags.

    Re: Round 12 Trades

I'm considering trading out Dusty to Gray or Hoff this week then grabbing Gaff in his place a week later.

I feel like given the outs this week I need to pull in a player who can play all 3 weeks. It's just a shame that neither side has a genuine MID premium since I'm not about to throw my lot in with Miller.
