    Re: Round 8 trades

Really not liking how my rookies are looking come bye rounds.

Murphy, Barry, Amartey (whoever that is) and Guelfi all not playing and that's to go with Langdon and his 46 average. Issue is those guys have made next to no cash so it's hard to just cash them in and upgrade...

Weighing up whether I'm better off moving Doedee ahead of Naughton this week given I plan on moving the other the following week. Naughton has a breakeven of 28 compared to Doedee with a 63 (DT) which means more cash however Doedee has had 4 scores of 78+ which makes it tempting to hold and see if he can put up a decent number ahead of Cole.

Thinking I'll grab McLean this week so when I swing Sicily back into the backline next week I'll still only have to play Fritsch but I feel like I'm paying overs at 650k for him even though he's got a breakeven of 74. Does work well with the bye and hard to find another midfielder I'm keen on outside of Crouch. Did toy with bringing in Macrae but just leaves me about 40k short of Crouch the following week and buying Macrae now is probably decent overs.

On a random note, Hogan could be an alright buy this week with GC and Carlton in his next two games, still a high breakeven but in terms of scoring potential, doesn't get much better!

English out is a positive for those considering Crossley as it stops him dropping in price. Obviously if they're covering someone then OMc becomes a strong option this week to scramble something.

I think I might put that one off to Crossley and instead go for an upgrade this week or even Mutch, @Ben the Gooner I'm backing you in if I do

I like OMc over Crossley. He's mature age (23) and holding a spot on a team with very few injuries. The obvious risk is that Fagan decides to revert to a single ruck structure when the wet weather really hits.

Having said all that, JS isn't hugely important. I really only need him for cover this week. If he's dropped at some stage, he simply becomes a VC/C donut option. If he makes some decent cash, then that's a bonus. I'll downgrade him to Olango post the byes.

Mine is more about getting a body in there to cash English and I'd rather someone with a chance of playing in the byes and giving me anything than a dead one but really the worst case is I get a rolling donut moving forward. The bigger bonus was English getting dropped so no cash rot so no need to trade him this week which really opens the door for an upgrade for me personally.

Guelfi not returning when there’s Mark Baguley playing forward pocket is a little concerning, but I’d have Mutch a long way ahead of Ronke. Playing pure wing too so plenty of opportunities to score.

Am I crazy to consider doing NN back to Kreuzer?
Kreuz back to only ruck in the team, still has a high BE but need the cover.

Someone dropped him in my draft league so hoping he regains form

I'd say no though... Maybe if he had put out a 100+ and it was next week.. but alas it is not!

To be fair, OMC outscored Goldy as well so somehow NicNat missing cost me points again

#****Goldy and he's now on the Broughton treatment for me, just say NO!
