    Re: Round 2

Just a heads up with Port's ruck situation atm.

H Hartlett said on radio this afternoon that they'll likely leave it up to Westhoff for this week to do most of the duties with Dixon and Howard helping out.

Really think Westhoff should come into consideration as fantasy player (more so in RDT and lol) given Ryder could miss up to 6 weeks, maybe more depending how his injury responds to treatment.

    Re: Round 2

I almost posted this in the Port thread earlier, but didn't worry about it given it's 6 weeks at this stage & I can't see Westhoff being more viable an option than enough others for those next 2 thirds of the season. Granted though this same predicament made Trengove a good option in RDT & LOL last time

@Athomas any word on how Kruezer has been moving at training? Article on the afl site said he'd pulled up really well from the groin strain but it doesnt seem credible

Haven't heard much mate but haven't been paying too much attention. I think the injury report on CFC said he was 50/50 for the game.

    Re: Round 2

I actually think the Ryder injury hurts Hoff in the short term. He had the most perfectly glorious role last week with Watts taking that difficult HF role and allowing him to literally just roam across the back of the contest and get touches. He had the Joel Bowden/Brendon Goddard role when they were scoring 120+ of absolutely no man, a team that chips it around in the back half, some hitouts when Ryder was tired and quality ball use.

Now he will get tired being beaten up a bit by bigger guys and will be relying on clearance work a lot more which isn't his strength.

I still think he's absolutely in the equation though as a target, should score 95ish still in this role, maybe more and when Ryder gets back he goes into the role perfection and can go boom again.

I wouldn't be restructuring to get him or anything yet but if I had a dud premium that needs to go he's the forward who has shown a role that could produce at the ultra-elite level.

"“Matthew Kreuzer sustained a minor groin injury against Richmond in the last game, and obviously went off the ground. We treated it quite conservatively but he has to get through training at the end of the week, and we're hopeful that we will,” McKay said."

hmm...so they train tomorrow and final teams are announced after DT lockout. leaning towards trading at the moment.

Agree with Wogi, he role last week was SC gold for him. Think he becomes a real upgrade option when Ryder is back - probably after his bye TBH.

WESTERN Bulldogs' top draft pick Ed Richards will make his debut against West Coast on Sunday to continue the family’s long-standing tradition in the AFL.

Pick 16 in last year's NAB AFL Draft, Richards will replace Hayden Crozier across half-back after an impressive performance in last week's VFL practice match against Geelong.

The 18-year-old is the grandson of Collingwood legend Ron Richards and grand-nephew of AFL icon Lou Richards.

Nice, sounds like he's coming in for Crozier. I'm a big fan of what Richards can do with the ball in hand. Definitely one to watch over the next two weeks, only issue will be if he can keep his spot when Crozier is back fit, which should be in 4-5 weeks.

Yep, not going to be many good downgrade options.
