Sydney team is also really weak. Might have 3 of our top 15 players playing.

    Re: AFL X Teams

Cats named a pretty strong final 10 against Port Adelaide. I think Port's team is pretty weak:

    PA: Watts (c)/Bonner/Howard/Lienert/Barry/Houston/S Gray. I/C Toumpas/Farrell/Hewett
    GEE: Fogarty/Kelly/Hawkins/Stewart/Duncan (c)/Blicavs/Bews. I/C Parfitt/Menegola/Z Guthrie

Backing Cats at $1.90. Senior players in Hawkins, Blicavs, Menegola, Duncan. Solid players in Guthrie/Bews/Stewart/Parfitt. Two gun draftees in Kelly/Fogarty.
Not sure who Port's best player is, maybe S Gray or Watts... a long way behind a lot of the names above!!

I will tip Cats 60, Power 30 in first match

    Re: AFL X Teams

I'm not sure that could have been any worse, to me it was like watching a team do training drills running up and down the ground.
Reckon its needs more players to create some contests and congestion.

Yeah would agree with that, think it has potential but some rules need fine tuning. The game lacks value without some sort of congestion or pack marking.

I got very bored and switched off. For a minute there I thought tackling had been outlawed.

The grey ball has been already phased out and replaced with the yellow.

Didn't end up watching any of tonight's games. Will probably take a look at the Dogs tomorrow, just to put faces to names of the new kids.

    Re: AFL X Teams

    I'm not watching on principle.

The AFL description just sounded like netball to me which is one of the worst spectator sports going around (fun to play though) so just zero interest.

Thankfully there haven't been any injuries yet that I know of which is the one saving grace (unfortunately it's also what is probably needed to kill this god awful frankenstein experiment now).

This is what I did last night with Hawthorn.
James Worpel looks a big chance to play r1.

Well, we're certainly not competitive, which isn't a surprise given the height of our team, as well as the inexperience.
