    Re: Round 10 2017

Stewart and Parsons need to hold on for one more week after this one. It'd be nice if they could both put in amazing scores, 70 would do it.

Round 13 too would probably be pretty nice.

TOP-10 draft pick Will Brodie will debut for Gold Coast against Melbourne in Alice Springs on Saturday.

The inside midfielder, who was selected with the ninth pick of the 2016 NAB AFL Draft, played in all three JLT Community pre-season games but has had to wait until round 10 to debut.

Brodie has averaged 23 disposals in his seven NEAFL appearances this season.

At 188cm, the former NAB AFL Academy member is terrific around the stoppages and has a thirst for winning the contested ball.

He will debut against the Demons alongside childhood hero and fellow Shepparton product Michael Barlow.

Brodie joins Ben Ainsworth and Jack Bowes as top-10 draft picks to debut for the Suns this season.

A mid rookie to keep your eye on, could be a great downgrade trade, inflated rookie price though.

Good timing. Potentially on the bubble at rd 12.

Also a reminder that Ainsworth will be on the bubble whenever he returns.

    Re: Round 10 2017

James Cousins, Hawthorn rookie has been elevated and will play this round.
Was hoping he would get elevated at the start of the year, was some very good reports on him pre-season.
Regularly been named in the bests for Box Hill, plays as an inside mid.

    Last week he had 29 disposals (16 contested, 20 kicks), 6 marks, 15 tackles, 7 I50, 10 clearances
Hopefully he can play a similar role.

    So many Rd 13 rookies....

In any case, I'm starting to think it might be worth the risk passing on Lloyd and/or Perryman, taking Greenwood early and then re-assessing.

    Re: Round 10 2017

English is an interesting one. He's way too skinny to effectively play in the ruck at the moment but he is very very good at ground level and with enough of a tank could potentially play as a tall midfielder. Doesn't have that tank yet so I'm not expecting a great deal out of him scoring wise since he'll probably only win 5-10 hitouts. It may well be that we stay with Boyd as the main ruckman and have English as something of a lead up half forward who pinch hits in the ruck as Stk don't really have a second ruckman (they used Gilbert last week and Bruce before that).

GAJ out is huge, especially his shoulder.

English could be a viable donut saver for the cash strapped regarding Sandi as well, or a decent downgrade for those still holding Preuss.
