    Re: Round 3 2017

So anyone else taking a chance with Houston or is he not worth the risk? Will get two score rises with a 99 in his system which will be rather nice so am quite tempted by that alone. Hayward is another option who scored 75 on the weekend, any thoughts on him @Wogitalia ?

I think I'll be adding Houston for JSmith (in SC). DT I'm missing him.

Only saw Houston's first game and he looked really impressive, composed and good kicking which is always a plus.

Do share the fear that Pittard could push him out but he looked good enough to hold a spot in the team and put serious pressure on the other smaller defenders and even the wings and hff types.

If WHE wasn't firmly in my price range I'd be giving Houston strong consideration for a spot (got to fix the backs as well!).

As for Hayward, he looked great, really good repeat efforts and went hard at every contest. Looks to basically be a Cunningham with talent type and he's got a chance to force his way into the team long term.

Do worry that with Heeney, Papley, Rohan and McVeigh all to come in that at least a couple of the young guys are going to get pushed out but Hayward may well have done his job by the time those guys get back. Heeney is back in training and symptom free, though the question of how much fitness he lost is the big one, Rohan and Papley are both far enough off that Hayward can make his cash (and the most direct threats to his spot), McVeigh is a mystery at this point so wait and see there but could also push him out but thought Hayward put himself ahead of Fox last week at least.

He's a first round pick and looked the goods though so could well end up cementing a spot.

Hocking in for Bombers. For those considering Murph (which includes me), I wouldn't be surprised to see Hocking play the run with role. Murph has a good history against the Bombers and he's been on fire in the first two rounds. Woosha might have a plan for him.

Murphy should be a safe pick though, as Cripps will carve sides up if they dont lock down on him

What did Brisbane pay for Bastinac? Crazy he's been dropped only 3 rounds in.

Also had a bit of a laugh when I noticed Sheridan was an IN for Freo this week. At the Port game last week I basically formed a habit of just calling every Freo player that I didn't recognize (about 10 dudes in total) 'Tommy Sheridan', because I don't know what he looks like either. The real Sheridan wasn't even playing

Bastinac is an absolutely awful player though so it makes sense, I'm not sure why they targeted him or why they keep playing him, at least let the kids prove they're incompetent rather than playing a guy who has well and truly proved it.

    Re: Round 3 2017

Newman really playing himself into teams next week after an impressive match last night. I would imagine Newman keeps his spot once Rampe comes back into the side?

Also it's great to see Hanners score a ton last night really needed him to lift after his first two matches wasn't Hanners like at all. WHE was good for most of the match but his first half he seemed to be everywhere getting plenty of touches!

Collingwood really pressured the Swans around the midfield with their tackling and it seemed like the Swans couldn't really do much damage going forward all night. The Swans don't seem the same as they have been in the first 3 matches, I feel they lacked abit around the ground at times. If they can get McVeigh, Heeney, Rampe and add Rohan back then maybe that might help them get back to their best form, they have a few young players who are still finding their feet but some of them look good and are doing their bit for the side in patches.

With young Schade keeping Buddy quiet for most of the night their backline managed very well along with Ben Reid and Goldsack given the pressure up field helped them alot and with no Tippett in the side that kind of helped the Pies. Fasolo was really good in the first half and it was an impressive game by him given not many others
When Buddy was in the backline and grabbed the ball and burst out of the pack that's a good thing for the Swans because he can get into the action when needed too. Last night he didn't get to do that often as he was needed more forward and Reid was handy at times kicking a few goals but it will be better once they get Tippett into the forwardline once he returns.
Matt Crouch is my boy for 2016 season, can he dominate 2016? time will tell....................
