Kind of tempted by H.Greenwood if he gets upgraded. Played the second two games and seemed to be more involved in the second one. I haven't seen much of him at all but he seemed to attack it with real desire and can be used in the midfield as an inside midfielder along as another option in the forward line.

Suppose it depends on how many other rookies there are to choose from as I'm really unsure what Adelaide is going to do with the final few positions but he'd be in with a chance and another DPP.

I have 100k leftover in SC at the moment and there's no way I'm not finding a way to spend it. For what it's worth I rolled with all of Oliver, Parish and Mills last year because I also had a bit leftover and had to find somewhere to spend it. I'll almost certainly upgrade to a Taranto type if I have that cash come lockout!

Hard part with him is just the job security with the list of names that will be available soon for your mob. Could be a great option though if he wins a job.

Right now I have no rookies on the ground in the MIDs and one of the benchies is M/F. One rookie on ground in FWDs.

Houston will more likely be 1st out as soon as Pittard is ready to come back meaning his overall JS is pretty poor.

    Jy Simpkin's pedigree looks good.

These are his bottom age TAC cup stats. Loves to tackle and seems to find the footy and be a goal-kicker. Far better option than Bowes it seems.

Wouldn't say far better option than Bowes....

If you are going for underage pedigree, then yes Simpkin averaged 81 DT as an underager in the TAC, but Bowes averaged 75 DT last year in the NEAFL against men. Isaac Heeney went at 77 in his draft year in the NEAFL to put that into perspective.

Bowes lack of scoring in the pre season not off-putting?

Not really no. He's had one quite game in the last round of JLT. His scoring in JLT1 was fine considering reduced minutes. Everything I read media wise regarding him is also extremely glowing.

Also think his role (ie off half-back) is considerably better than the small forward role that the majority of other competitors are stuck with.

A spreadsheet I have just come across covering all the relevant rookies, quite interesting - Z Guthrie

That's a handy chart. I'm all over Zuthrie, hoping he gets elevated!

    Re: Forward Rookies

The cutoff point is eliminating most of the rookies I'm considering but some good info there.

Just waiting for those teams now for the final tinker before I do my last second changes as always!

Just on Zac Guthrie, struggling to understand his VFL game last week. Named as best for the side, but also mentioned in an interview that his primary opponent was Josh Green who kicked 4 goals. Had 16 disposals himself, but really hope he wasn't on Josh Green all game if that were the case.

    Re: Forward Rookies

Yeah you would hope they weren't all on him. Just as likely he snagged a couple of cheap out the back ones after a turnover in the back half, would imagine you would see more of that at vfl level than Afl.
