Worth noting how valuable Port and GCS players can be this year with their unique bye round that could make bye management a lot easier.

Shame there is really only a couple of speculative types at each position but they could add value as they help avoid donuts.

Both teams should have some rookies to pick from as well from Rnd 1, mainly Gold Coast.

From Port Adelaide I can only see Powell Pepper getting a crack early. He has a body ready for some round 1 action.

Gray (Premo), Hartlett (DPP/Price), Ryder (DPP & Price) would be the only other ones I'd look at touching, then the last 2 would have to have outstanding pre seasons for me to pick them.

Heard he's been training as the lead up forward in match sim as S Dixon is on a modified program still. Will more than likely play a fair bit in the pre season so we'll get a good look at him.

Think that Wines and Pittard are also worth mentioning at Port. Pittard has improved every year to be on the edge of premium level and Wines had injuries last year but he's a talent.

Suns have Swallow, Ablett, KK, Miller and Lynch that all come to mind outside the obvious rookie choices that should be available.
