    Round 17 Trades

Guess the decision to hold or trade Ablett will be the main one for this week.

Sloane is the most inform midfielder that I imagine many wouldn't have however he's well out of my price range at 628k.

I'd like to grab Neale however I fall just 2k short of the straight swap so I might just settle for Hannebery.

    SC Ablett to Selwood/Sloane
DT is harder becuase I don't have the cash for a swap to anyone I want. Looking at Gibbs, Sidey or Coniglio

    Re: Round 17 Trades

A unique downgrade option for Ablett would be Hodge if you're brave enough.

Had a slow start to the year, coming in underdone I think? Dropped a fair bit in price with scores of 71, 92, 91 and 63 to start the season. Since returning from the knee injury 7 rounds later he's put up scores of 111 and 118.

This is coming off a career best 2015 season DT wise with an average of 111 which had him as one of the best DTers of last season. If he could get back to that form he'd be a really nice pick.

Plenty of concerns though with a slow start to the year fantasy wise, also missed a chunk of the season and poor durability. I suppose the one thing that could work in his favour is that the lack of games played in the first half of the season will see him play out the final 7 rounds to really get him running prior to finals however I still wouldn't be surprised if he was rested at some point.

Limited cash and trades means I will like swap Ablett for Pendles or Gibbs.

RDT im seriously considering GAJ -> Z.Merrett, he is absolutely killing me every week, and honestly, is averaging better than most other mids.

He's second to only Danger and 5.5 a game better than Neale in 3rd.

Safe to say my boy has been outstanding

This is a very solid option for the trade.

I feel like me taking on an Essendon player as my boy was the strongest possible move I could make

I did try and convince everyone to take him after all!

    Re: Round 17 Trades

Prestia (SC $473K) not a bad option if you're looking for some extra cash to do something else.

124 and 126 in last two and should benefit from GAJ not being there.

    Has a reasonable run home.

No trades again. If Ablett is out probably go to Pendles, like 3k short of Neale.

Everything I've read/heard is that he's in genuine doubt this week with knee soreness. I'd be very careful about going him especially given he's tag bait with Ablett out.

    Re: Round 17 Trades

In SC, with GAJ all but certain to be traded out, I have a few options, 605K to spend :-

Lachie Neale 574K- has 5 of last 7 at home, 1 shocker v Bris 51. Only concern is if Ross rests him with Freo's season shot.

Selwood - 583K, very solid proven premium. Decent run home, seems the logical pick.

Steven - 544K, Can go very big but also inconsistent, suspect v hard tag.

Bonts - 569K - In form, nice draw, tempting as a unique.

JPK - 548K - very solid, consistent performer. I already have Parker & Hanners in the mids, McVeigh in the backs... maybe too many swans.

Already have Danger, Pendles, Hanners, Parker, Sloane, Ward & Gray.

Thinking Selwood is my man at this point.

Swans have a very decent run home after this week. Hawks followed by Blues, Dockers, Port, St Kilda, North and Richmond. Could mean there is resting possible though also.

Think the top 2 are the obvious choices, Selwood I worry is due a rest but the state of the top 8 is making that nigh on impossible, just can't afford to even slip up slightly in there now and percentage is legitimately becoming a factor clubs need to consider.

Really it's a question of whether you play it safe or go all out, Steven in great form but is a real rollercoaster. Brisbane in r23 the only real strong tagging team that he has left though. The problem is he goes so massive everytime he runs free that he gets a tag the next week!
