Round 12 Trades - Bye Prep

Big week this week. Byes start next week so this forms one last week to get ready for them.

For those that didn't go early on him Collins is a likely in for most teams.

Goddard's injury, coupled with St Kilda's awful performance could mean that Lee gets his third game.

Williams usefulness got ruined as a late in last week.

Rockliff makes for a tasty trade in with his R15 bye.

People will be praying that Goldy comes back. Especially if you copped the donut.

Am likely going to have to gamble on Jansen this week. Other trade likely to be Rocky in.

No wonder my teams are doing shit, I'm the complete opposite too most, R13 have the least amount players out while R15 is my bad one.

R14 looms as my bad one. The big 3 RDT swan mids along with assorted others makes it lineball.

I'll be carrying MacPherson during the byes. But most will have one dead rookie at least.

I think I'm going to get wreaked come round 13.

Prior to the weekends results I planned on moving Davis out but on the back of his 98 I'm inclined to hold him for for at least another week to get some more cash.

Mids I've got - Ablett, Pendlebury, Steven, Sidebottom, Davis, Macpherson.

Feel like this problem is then going to be pushed to round 15 as the likes of Rockliff and Jansen look to come in.

    Just out of curiosity.

How many trades does everyone have and how far off of a 'complete 22' are they?

SC - 14 trades and ideally 3 but realistically 6. Tippa, Wagner, Libba, Smith, Robbo and Tippett on the field that I'd rather not be if I can achieve it.

DT - 12 trades and ideally it's 3, realistically probably 6 as well (Tippa, Wagner, Libba, Smartin, Robbo and Wells).

Thoughts on Zaka? And Essendons performance in general against Freo.

I've already got the 8 midfield premos, (well can hardly call them that after the weekend) but seriously tempted to move him onto Rockliff this week.

Im very worried Rockliffs hammy goes again soon but if he plays out most of the season in the form he was in on the weekend you aren't winning the comp without him, that simple.

Re: Round 12 Trades - Bye Prep

The issue besides bye prep this week is whether you bring in Rockliff or not. He (and Leppa) have done nothing all year to inspire any confidence and then he goes bang with a 184 out of nowhere. Feel like I'm going to get dudded no matter which way I go on Rockliff. The other issue is that there are few rooks on the bubble aside from Collins, but there are a couple of decent looking prospects who are 1 week away - do you go early on the likes of Jansen and Hams?

Round 13 is going to be my toughest round, but it's looking a lot better than it was a few weeks ago. Round 14 will be my best round.

I've got 12 trades left and I've got 4 upgrades left to go 1 mid, 1 fwd, 2 back). Not even thinking about Stef or Hall or any of these guys who are shitting the bed. Focussing on getting the rooks off field.

Re: Round 12 Trades - Bye Prep

My team, surprisingly is set up reasonably well. 17/19/18 over the 3 weeks (didn't count Goetz, MacPherson or Menadue).
But I guess I'll need to grab an extra player for next week.
If the money works, Smith to Trengove/one of the rookie mids, and Due to Zerrett might be a good move.
This post was more than likely SC based.
If in doubt, assume it was.

Re: Round 12 Trades - Bye Prep

Matt Sucklings an interesting one in RDT I thought I'd add. Take out his injury affected 15 in round 5 and he is averaging ~ 93ppg this season. Only really Shaw, Boyd, Simpson, Docherty and Laird boasting better averages than that, with Bartel very close having had a stellar 5-6 week run. Priced at $405,500 very very cheap, the 15 leaves his 3 round rotation this week, scores of 92 and 103 since returning. Pretty nice fixture post bye also.

Re: Round 12 Trades - Bye Prep

RDT: Need 1 DEF premo, 1 mid Premo (but 1 of my 7 is an injured adams), 2 fwd premo's (Kerridge and Wells on field as 5/6) with 12 trades left.

Feel like the way Kerridge/Wells are going i can wait on those premo spots, and with Tippa/Tucker/Collins D6 is ok til byes too. Just need to decide if i let Adams loose and perhaps grab Rocky this week. Then fill last DEF/MID spots during byes. Coming out post byes, just needing to think about forward premo's (if Wells/Kerridge slow) and possibly how to fix the Stef Martin problem.

Think im going to be running the gauntlet with only 1 or 2 trades up my sleeve for the last 6 rounds this year haha.

Think I'm pretty set on Zaka -> Rockliff and Trengove -> Suckling.

So in SC I am ditching Hall. Hall > Collins - Hewett > Rockliff. He has averaged 75 for the last five weeks but I guarantee Hall goes big this week.
