Re: Round 8 - Carnage time

Ross has lost it, basically throwing a game in round 8 . Maybe he's thinking if he plays all three of the Pearces down back they can evolve into a Super Pearce and provide us with a 2nd KPD.

I'll probably hold Barlow one week and it play it from there, but yeah offload for sure to a Montagna/Zorko/NRoo if possible. He's just going to keep getting thrown around like old laundry but the looks of things.

Unless Daw plays at full back on our small forwardline, I have a horrible feeling Goldstein will be a late out.

Re: Round 8 - Carnage time

That Essendon team almost couldn't be better, Dempsey and Simpkin out (who both came in and pushed Fantasia to the forward pocket of death) and in comes Ambrose, McKenna and Langford to fill the spud quota up front (I like McKenna and Langford long term but they're deer in head lights right now).

Hopefully it's a late Roo forward out, give Waite a spell

Yeah I think that's the best approach and the way I'll probably go about it. Wait the week, see what happens and reaccess, there's no chance he stays out of the team long term but it's a huge wtf to drop a guy who prior to last week has two very big weeks for them.

Re: Round 8 - Carnage time

The Barlow dropping is odd, he probably should have been dropped after round 2 or 3 but prior to last week his past couple of games had been very good.

I'll take it though, sure helps get that Montagna trade ahead for me!

Re: Round 8 - Carnage time

I am not sure how but I have a full team with emergencies on every line bar ruck in SC

In RDT I am missing a forward emergency but otherwise fine

Re: Round 8 - Carnage time

Don't get the Barlow omission at all.

Also feel like Daw is there for Waite or Petrie rather than Goldy. Don't see why North needs to get up to shenanigans here, if a guy needs a rest (like Firrito clearly does this week) then just say so.

Or maybe they just want to give Daw a run in a match there is no risk of them losing?

I was thinking of you when I saw the teams Wog, you are right its the perfect storm. Dempsey and Simpkin out is ideal for you and McKenna in will definitely push Raz up to a wing / midfield.

I actually like Ambrose long term too.... I know that sounds crazy but I have changed my ways, in previous years I have had no time for players that completely lack any football ability at all, then Hooker and Blicavs became good players and now I have some tolerance. I hated Hooker five years ago, yelled at any Essendon player that gave him the ball haha.

Re: Round 8 - Carnage time

hmmm...so cox on the ruck or forward bench? i can only cover one of the positions, and just on weight of numbers it would make more sense to have cox on the forward bench, but these comments about goldy have me worried.
