SC is FFC's number 1 fantasy game
So Toyota have come to the party for the AF deadheat. First still gets the first place prize of the C-HR Koba AWD which is around $35-40k worth.
However, instead of just the $10k for 2nd, the coach of Moreira's Magic will also get a Toyota Corolla Ascent Sport Hybrid which is around the $25-$30k mark, bringing the two total prizes to around the same mark.
Good effort by them, genuinely deserve to get a few extra sales and make that back for the level of good will gesture that is.

I'd probably rather have the Camry anyway, so that's a solid result for him.
Wait... sounds like he also got the $10k. So he ended up with a car and $10k, while the winner just got a slightly more valuable car?

This post was more than likely SC based.
If in doubt, assume it was.
Yeah, they've ended up with a prize of similar value. Would also prefer the lesser car and $10k myself.

THE CHANGES
Traditional playing positions at centre bounces
Clubs must have six players inside both 50m arcs, with one player inside the goalsquare.
Four midfield players must start inside the centre square with the two wingmen stationed along the wing.
Kick-ins
At kick-ins, a player will no longer need to kick to himself to play on from the goalsquare.
Following a behind, the man on the mark will be brought out to 10m from the top of the goalsquare, rather than the existing five metres.
Marks and free kicks in defence
When defenders mark or receive a free kick within nine metres of their own goal, the man on the mark will be brought in line with the top of the goalsquare.
Runners and water carriers
Team runners may only enter the playing surface after a goal has been kicked and must exit before play restarts.
Water carriers are not permitted to enter the playing surface during live play.
Umpire contact
Players will be prohibited from setting up behind the umpire at centre bounces.
50m penalties
The player with the ball:
Must be allowed to advance the mark by 50m without the infringing player delaying the game.
Will be able to play on while the 50m penalty is being measured out.
Kicking for goal after the siren
A player who has been awarded a mark or free kick once play has ended:
Will now be able to kick across their body using a snap or check-side kick
BUT must kick the ball directly in line with the man on the mark and the goal.
Marking contests
The 'hands in the back’ rule interpretation has been repealed so a player can now:
Place his hands on the back of his opponent to protect his position in a marking contest
PROVIDED he does not push his opponent in the back.
Ruck contests: prior opportunity
A ruckman who takes direct possession of the ball from a bounce, throw-up or boundary throw-in will no longer be regarded as having had prior opportunity.
Where there is uncertainty over who is the designated ruckman, the ruckman for each team will still be required to nominate to the field umpire.

Think most are happy with the changes this year.
Decent implications for the kick-in rule, especially in AF/DT

This will be interesting. Will be very difficult to police. Essentially all kicks around the corner involve a play on. If you're doing it from a stationary position it almost defeats the purpose. Players would have to move back from the true angle to take the "side on" run up. As an aside, I've always said that players should be able to move off the line as long as they don't improve the angle. Buddy's arc always shits me and he should be called to play as soon as he steps off / improves the angle. If he wants to kick with an arc, that's fine but should be made to start on a more acute angle.

That's the exact interpretation, if you are on 40 degree angle you can move yourself towards the sideline on a tighter angle then run to the man on mark line at 40 degrees to do a snap shot, as long as you don't past that line, and yes will be the same for Buddy will have to start inside the line or can run too a tighter angle.
On the behind kick-in, your first possession can be a hand ball, so can just run out of the square and hand ball to someone, also no one from the opposition can be within 10 meters from the side, so basically the guy kicking in has a 10 meter area to run to and kick from, guessing once you run out of the goal square it will be play on and then the opposition can run at you. Can't see many guys kicking from within the square.
Square pretty much becomes pointless as a result.
Basically just there for the other rules requiring top of square distances.
Should make kick ins a major decision for DT now as well as SC as would expect most kick ins will now be stats.
