I'd say the glaring omission is Talia from your unlucky list.

I can understand others getting the nod (I nearly had Richards in over him), but not making the Wogi squad was surprising.

I don't think 2 rucks is necessary, especially when one of them has been so dominant over the rest of the comp.

the thing with Talia is I reckon a bit of timing.

I don't think there is a huge difference (some, sure) between Presti and Glass, but Glass is 4 times AA (rightly) because of trends, and fashion at the time. if Presti was in a different era, surely he is more highly recognised, if Glass was a few years earlier is he just seen as a dour defender?

Talia is cut from the same cloth, although I think Glass read the play and intercepts a little better in the modern game than either Presti or Talia.
    TEX WALKER. that is all.

They do but if I was picking I absolutely wouldn't. Most teams don't play 2 rucks anymore and outside of the Eagles and Hawthorn I'd say that none of the ones who do look better when they do!

For what it's worth, Jacobs would be the easy pick for my #2 if I had to pick one!

Yeah, forgot to add him, Harry Taylor I also completely forgot when doing it, neither would make my team as it stands but both absolutely in the squad.

Glass was better than Presti I think is the big thing, better with the ball and better defensively, especially in a team defense. Presti was a great one on one defender against the players he matched up well with, Glass could play on basically anyone (still remember him doing a number on Lindsay Thomas) and was very good as a help defender also.

Talia reminds me a lot of Glass, by far his best comparison of the past decades defenders. Talia will improve in my eyes when he makes the realisation of how poor his foot skills are and starts to make more safe and easy kicks instead of forcing things with the ball. Defensively he is as good as anyone already.
