Port Power has dabbled in a potential trade for Hamish McIntosh, but footy boss Peter Rohde doesn't like the club's chances.
    Piss off Port!

Bombers not getting a lot of love in their search for mid..Word Wanted Josh Caddy from GC but no luck

The Bombers could have chosen Caddy last year, but they chose Heppell

If we can get Caddy I'd be happy with that.

Port would have had to offer something decent for Hamish, pick 6 is probably too high and there next pick 28 is too low. Don't see any of their players that we particular need that aren't untouchable either.

I actually think Caddy was taken a pick ahead of Heppell, I remember Caddy was the one I wanted us to get but GC snapped him up just before hand.

    No complaints with Heppell though

They'd probably love to have him but it would be unwise for them to give up anything substantial (which they'd obviously need to do).

Some of these trade week callers make the most cringe worthy trades. But I guess they need something to pass the time.

EDIT: Montagna for Majak Daw and 2nd round pick. Where do we sign.

You're right, I had him confused with Atley (17 North), who many Essendon fans wanted over Heppell on draft day. They also wanted Prestia and Gorringe who both ended up at Gold Coast.

The only way is through the AFL site. @fogdog asked the same question on twitter and mentioned bomberblitz so he might have the answer.

LOL. I heard that Russ, about to post, and I was like, surely he didn't say that?

Lachie from Adelaide's trades were shockers. Davenport for Milburn, Motop for Griffin and Pick 30 + Surjan for Ebert.

Admittedly you are dealing with Richmond so anything could happen but personally I don't think Maric is worth much more than a pick in the 50s, for mine he is the type of player that you basically just trade to be a good club(like King to St Kilda or Shaw to Sydney) where you hope that in the future the club you deal with will reciprocate the love.
The otherwise useless claim is a bit off base. I am in no way claiming he is a world beater, but he will be a very good & dependable ruck option which will boost Richmond's weakest on field component whilst giving their strongest component a much higher chance at competing for the ball.

I still won't be backing away from the claim Adelaide should be looking for its Bock Compo pick back, but I am resigned to the fact that it will be a second rounder.

For his tap work I would say he is pretty decent, which is what Richmond are recruiting him for. That is his strength & it helps to make up for the fact that he isn't as agile. But I'll concede that 'above average would be a little too far but he would be around the mean for AFL ruckmen & hitouts to advantage next year.

As for the worst first ruckman in the league call (or close to it) Port (unless they get Griffin), Bulldogs & GWS have lead rucks worse than Maric. Geelong's are if Ottens retires, same goes for Collingwood if Jolly can't regain fitness. Hawthorn's lead rucks are about the same as Maric. I'd back Maric in to compete well with all bar the top rucks in the comp (Sandi, Mumford, Cox & a few others). Where he gets exposed around the ground which lowers his standing.

Comparing him to Mark Blake is in no way fair or accurate.

How so? Both are solid tap ruckmen that are very poor around the ground with no potential to be anything but that.

I really don't rate Maric at all, I'm not even sure he is an upgrade on Angus Graham to be honest. He is a better tap ruckman but worse at everything else.

If I was Richmond there are plenty of guys I'd be targeting ahead of him, that is for sure.
