Brisbane should be smart about moving Clarke on, take pick 16 and a player if they can maybe a young player most likely.
Matt Crouch is my boy for 2016 season, can he dominate 2016? time will tell....................

Brisbane have said they are interested in Tippett, despite what Adelaide have said about him being a required player. A decent offer from Brisbane and Adelaide may consider moving him on.

I don't think this indicates that much, widely know that Swans would be happy to use their first rounder. Think it was just Freo's turn to make the token bid this time around.

Yeah Sydney were always going to match any bid but would be silly for Fremantle and West Coast in particular to bid for him, if they did win it would be a great get for them anyway.

Port offer pick 28 for Brad Ebert: http://ow.ly/6S7Sn #AFL #goeagles#tradeweek
    AFL_JasonPhelan Jason Phelan
Eagles N Daniher: No trade for Brad Ebert but confident Port will up its offer. Eagles just want pick. Not out of hunt for Clark. #tradeweek
If the Eagles dont want any players from Port and just want draft picks then they may have to settle on pick 28. Port's only pick prior to that is 6 and there's no way Port will let that go for Ebert. A third club might have to get involved for West Coast to get a better pick.

Also interesting that Daniher has made mention that the Eagles are looking at Clark. Honestly dont know why. He wont be a ruckman, and they have enough big men up forward with Kennedy, Lynch, Darling and either Cox or Naitanui up there at some point.

Also Paul Bower and Setana O'Hailpin have asked to be traded from Carlton. O'Hailpin could field a fair bit of interest.

Adelaide want Bock's compo pick back which I feel is fair. There is no way we could legitimately ask for pick 14 considering the Jacobs precedent last year. A second rounder is probably too little in this draft as it has next to no value. The compo pick is fair although I understand Richmond desperately wanting to keep it.

It won't be until later in the week that a deal gets done.

Richmond's second round pick is very generous for someone like Maric IMO. I have already said that I really don't rate him at all though

He is an above average tap ruckman which will be a big step up on Richmond's current stocks, he is just old school (read slow) around the ground. He is worth a second rounder in a normal draft so I fully expect us to go after compo pick for him.

I feel like you are overrating his value a fair bit. With Mark Blake being the same player and you would think also available I don't think Adelaide have a strong position.

Basically Maric is a tap ruckman who is otherwise useless and has shown nothing to indicate he has the potential to be anything else or more.

Admittedly you are dealing with Richmond so anything could happen but personally I don't think Maric is worth much more than a pick in the 50s, for mine he is the type of player that you basically just trade to be a good club(like King to St Kilda or Shaw to Sydney) where you hope that in the future the club you deal with will reciprocate the love.

That said, I guess you did the inverse of that with the Tambling trade and are hoping Richmond might return the favour

When you say 'above average', what do you consider to be the average? If he went to Richmond, he'd be close to the worst #1 ruckman in the league.
